It is yet another year, which I am certain will be filled with hardships and challenges, but we have never experienced these things without any lessons to learn. In between, we always have our share of happy moments, both together as family, and as servants of the Raiden Shogun.

I would like to celebrate today, your day of birth, as a day where I am stripped of all my obligations, except those to you. You have told me before that it is the elder brother's job to spoil his little sister, but I believe that it is the little sister's duty to ensure that her brother will always have a reason to smile, and that you will have a home to come back to. I hope that the memories we make today will put a smile on your face whenever you go back to them in your mind's eye. Please trust in me that we will not be limited to making happy memories just today. There are two packages. One package is long. It's a sword Jean made himself. Another is rectangular; it has a painting of Pegasus Dogs, Mochi and Maru, and mouse-sized pajamas (as a cute joke).

[ Ayaka does not wish to take up too much of Thoma or her brother's time today, so she is eternally grateful that they were kind enough to spare some of it for her surprise for Cloud. There's some time before Cloud shows up at Thoma's doorstep, so Ayaka isn't particularly worried that they would bump into the other.

For her own purpose here, it's just for something quick, anyway. She's made bite-sized chocolate truffle mochi and placed them in a heart-shaped boxes to give as gifts for both of them. Ayato's box has a gold ribbon around it, and Thoma's has a red ribbon. And once she's handed the boxes over to them and they've settled down some, ]

Happy Valentine's day to you both! I really must thank you for allowing me to have Cloud visit later... Hehe, I'm rather excited for what he'll be doing.
