Watching- oh, like performances? Rui's showed me some of them.

[ He knows a little! But mostly stage performances due to a very biased source. ]

I suppose they are performances, but it's quite unlike what I've seen before. There are effects. Though I'm not sure the story is one I would have picked for myself.

Oh? Now I'm rather curious about what that particular story was.

[ He'd found the stories that Rui had shared with him to be quite entertaining, the younger man certainly had a keen eye for good stories. Surely whatever Ayaka and Lumine had chosen for Ayato was a stirring tale as well. ]

the way his brow furrows is likely telling in itself. the choice of story likely wasn't for him, he just can't say no to ayaka. }

It... was a love triangle, of sorts? Between a young girl, a vampire and a werewolf.

{ thoma is more than aware of everything he's done for her. more aware than ayaka could ever be, honestly. }

[ He is, and yet he hasn't been jealous for a moment of the fondness and love both siblings have for each other. Only ever admired how strong their bond was, and a burning desire to do whatever he could to help them. ]

[ He can comfortably squeeze Ayato's hand in return, his innocent love for the Kamisato clan overriding his far from innocent affections for Ayato in this moment. Whatever should happen between the two of them, or doesn't happen, he'd never let Ayato forget that he does, with all of his sincerity and heart, love both siblings. ]

I'm glad then. Please do not ever forget it.

Speaking of which-- { because he needs an out before he gets flustered or caught up in his thoughts. } --we should check on their progress with dinner. It's been a while since they started.

[ It's a lot easier to accept the words as well, and to not hope for something more to be tucked behind them when Ayaka is included. ]

Ah- yes, we should see if they'll let us help or kick us out of the kitchen. Ayaka did mention wanting to prepare everything herself.

Did she now? { his eyes shift towards the kitchen where there's still noises of chatter and clanging. they're definitely busy. } We may be in for a treat tonight then. { they've already had snacks and cake--speaking of which: } Lumine brought over so much cake we'll be able to have dessert as well. If they haven't made too much already for dinner, that is.

[ There's a moment where Thoma jolts with some surprise, then drops his tone conspiratorially in case either lady might be listening in to their conversation just outside the kitchen. ]

The cake isn't going to find its way into dinner, is it... ?

[ As if he wasn't speaking with one of the people in this apartment who would suggest they do just that. ]
