[ His head whips back to the cabinet, standing up this time in a feeble attempt to cool off his face before turning toward Ayato again. ]

[ All the time Ayato needs really, because Thoma will very much let his face drop into his pillow once he's in the bathroom, only to jolt up when he realizes he can smell the other man on his pillow. After that realization, he's quick to change both his pillow case and the sheets, bundling them for washing along with Ayato's clothes as he lays out fresh ones. ]

[ And then, since he really is a creature of habit, he'll make his way to the kitchen in his hastily worn pants to prepare some tea for Ayato. Carefully, since he decides also to skip the shirt to spare himself one more piece of clothing to clean in the growing pile of sinful laundry. ]

{ it takes a while.

he's on autopilot until the clean clothes are left on the side and he's in the shower. even that is turned to be one of the colder settings. the tiles are cold as he drops his head to rest against them, not even thinking of washing as the coolness of the water lets his mind catch up with everything that just happened.

his skin burns. his mouth still feels like it's on fire. so much so that even as his cold fingers move from the tiled wall to touch them it feels too hot to the touch. he can't tell if it's actually the case or his imagination running away from him though.

it takes time for the water to actually work.

too much time where he wonders if thoma would be that assertive without the influence of the wish bone(r). where he wonders if he wasn't, whether he would give those shy looks of embarrassment if ayato were to tease him and take the lead. whether it would feel as good for thoma as it did for him, if he were to wrap his lips around his cock instead--

and he only realises he's fantasising in thoma's shower that he shares with rui when he chokes from having his own fingers too far down his throat.

and at that point he twists the dial, blasting himself with the coldest setting until he's shivering from the cold.

at least at that point it's easier to clean himself off, making his own mind go as numb as possible by keeping it stuck under the freezing cold water so it feels like he's getting brain freeze. otherwise, he isn't sure how he's going to step outside this room again.

it takes another five or ten minutes of him drying, getting dressed (and it's difficult to not notice the way thoma's clothes are a little bigger on him. thankfully with the clothes being fresh there's nothing else to make his mind stray again) before he even thinks of leaving the sanctuary the bathroom offers.

he brings the blanket out as well, assuming that also needs to be washed. }

Thoma? { he checks the bedroom first, but a noise of clattering brings him to the kitchen. } I'm-- { it's rude to stare, but he can't help the way his eyes roam for a moment as he wills his mouth to keep speaking. } --finished now, if you were planning to use the bathroom as well.

{ it's a small blessing that he has years of keeping himself in check that he can move his eyes to the tea instead. }

[ In turn, it's hard for Thoma to not stare at Ayato as he steps into the kitchen wearing the clothes Thoma had lent him. And while he's oblivious to the way Ayato looks him over, he's increasingly aware that he's perhaps being too blatant in doing the same. They aren't terribly large on him, but there's a look to them on his lord that makes the heat start to rise in his face. ]

[ It's... it's a good look. ]

[ Definitely not just because it's his clothes on him. ]

[ He might not be as practiced as Ayato is at controlling his expressions, given there's a light dust of a blush across his face now, but he does give a bright and familiar smile as he motions to the teapot he's just set down. ]

Oh- perfect timing Ayato! The tea has just finished brewing, and I set out some pastries in case you were hungry after-... ah, in case you were hungry so I'll go ahead and shower then!

[ His face is definitely heating up now as memories of just a short while ago slam to the forefront. And since it'd be incredibly rude to stand here daydreaming about the man literally in front of him, he's quick to make his escape to the bathroom, taking the blanket from Ayato with a fumbled thank you. A blanket that's going straight into the ever growing laundry pile of sin. ]

[ There was so much laundry to be done. ]

[ He has to take a moment once he's inside the bathroom to rest his back against the door and bury his face in his hands. Admittedly, it'd only been a few hours since it'd happened, but it was already impossible to keep his mind off of it. Get it together Thoma! You can't daydream about Ayato everytime you see him! ]

[ A nice hot shower was just the thing he needed to relax his tensed muscles and let him collect his mind again... ]

[ A shame that Ayato had left the shower on freezing cold, a further shame that Thoma hadn't noticed in his distracted state, and the final shame comes in the form of the surprised yelp Thoma gives from the shower as he learns the consequences of being distracted with perverted thoughts of your boss with his very heated body. ]

{ while he may not say anything, he very much receives a knowing smile for the way he's stared at, but also the rising blush on the other's face. }

{ he doesn't take a seat until thoma has left the room though, mostly because while the cold water had cooled his thighs they still ache and burn under the fabric of the clothes. his fingers wrap around the cup for tea that had been left, tipping the hot drink from the teapot. it's only when he's had a few sips and was about to reach for a pastry that he hears the yelp from the other room.

had he left the water on cold? if he thinks back, he'd been trying to cool off enough he doesn't remember switching it back.

he really must have been distracted to not check the temperature first, but perhaps it had been reasonable to assume ayato wouldn't have turned it so low.

he can't help but laugh, even if he doesn't get to see it for himself, the look of shock must have been something else.

and then while he waits, he'll have one of the pastries with the tea, glad he has something else to focus on so he doesn't let his own mind wander again. }

[ The rest of his shower is finished in extremely embarrassed silence once Thoma adjusts the temperature to something more suiting to his preferences. For his part, he doesn't linger very long in the droning sound of falling water, lost in his thoughts; his long-trained servitude mindset is screaming at him not to leave a guest unattended to for too long and so it's just so much easier to listen to that part of his brain than any other that teases him with dirty thoughts or unsure hopes. ]

[ It's just a quick and thorough hot shower and he's out, still drying his hair with a towel when he reenters the kitchen to check on Ayato. He's radiating heat, moreso than usual from the shower, and in spite of well, everything, his smile has its usual life and energy to it. ]

[ Thoma's eyes linger Ayato's slender fingers and the way his tongue brushes over them for a beat too long before he catches himself, head and attention turning toward the teapot instead to pour himself a cup. He was exceedingly parched at this point, but tea would help calm his thoughts more. ]

[ He also doesn't mention how Ayaka had told Thoma about wanting to get a full day with Ayato, meals included, so Thoma didn't plan to give the gift until later in the day. Much later, depending on how much time he personally needed to recover mentally from their earlier activities. ]

honestly he isn't even sure how thoma is still running around like he has all the energy in the world. he really may go back and nap before he starts drafting up anything else. as much as the distraction would be nice, he's not necessarily in a rush to get it done.
